Terms of Service

Darresni is a marketplace that helps students find and book peer tutors. Booking is free for students. Tutors keep their profile visible by paying a monthly subscription. Darresni is a platform only — it is not a party to the tutoring sessions and does not employ tutors.

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. Tutors must submit a valid university ID for verification; we may decline or revoke access if information can’t be verified or is misused. You are responsible for activity under your account.

• Session fees are paid directly between the student and the tutor — arranged through the in-app chat and settled in person at the session (or by another method the two agree on). Darresni does not collect, hold, or process session payments and takes no commission on them.
• Tutor subscription: tutors pay a monthly fee (currently $20, or as discounted by a valid coupon) via Whish to keep their account active and visible. Activation follows admin verification of the payment, unless a coupon fully covers it.
• Coupons may grant a discount and/or a set subscription duration and can be limited or withdrawn at any time.
• Subscription payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

Be honest and respectful. Do not: impersonate others, post false or misleading information, harass or abuse anyone, share unlawful content, attempt to bypass the platform’s security, or use Darresni for anything other than legitimate tutoring. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences.

All communication and coordination between tutors and students must take place through Darresni’s in-app chat. To protect both parties, you must not share, request, or publish personal contact details — including phone numbers, WhatsApp, email addresses, social-media handles, or links to external messaging apps — whether in your profile, bio, availability notes, reviews, or chat messages.

Keeping communication on the platform gives both sides a clear, verifiable record, lets us step in if something goes wrong, and protects everyone’s privacy and safety. Accounts that attempt to move contact off-platform, post contact information, or otherwise bypass the in-app chat may be warned, suspended, or removed.

Either party may cancel a pending or confirmed session through the app. Please cancel promptly and communicate through the in-app chat.

You retain rights to content you submit (profile text, messages, reviews) and grant Darresni permission to host and display it as needed to run the service. Don’t post content you don’t have the right to share.

Tutors are independent individuals, not agents of Darresni. We do not guarantee any particular tutor, result, grade, or outcome. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Darresni is not liable for disputes between students and tutors, for the conduct or quality of any session, for payments made directly between users, or for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

You may stop using Darresni at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the law, or to protect the service and its users.

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Lebanon.

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use means you accept the changes.
